The Great Orion Nebula. Wide Screen.

First astronomy image take in 2014. Jan, 3ud, 2014.

20 of each 30 second exposures combined to yield one 10 minute exposure. Urbain setting. Back yard downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Very light polluted area.

This optical tube (Telescope) I have not used in over 15 or more years. Been stored away. It was built and used by me with a larger film cameras. 2 and 1/4 by 2 and 1/4 inch format cameras. Temporarily mounted a digital camera on it to see if it would be usable with modern cameras. The optics and camera where poorly aligned.  It worked well enough for as the images was not all that bad so I will clean the optics and make the correct camera mount and put this optical tube back in service.. One of the first G-R 200SS scopes Vixen Telescope made. Years old.  The poor optical alignment is way the stars are not round. No Coma corrector in the telescope ether. Soon to be added.
