One more image of our moon taken through an older restored Celestron C-8. One of the older orange tube Celestron C-8 optical tubes.
Yes, I have many images that I have taken of this phase of the moon. The difference with this on is it was taken June 6th, D day. The beginning of the end of world war 2. I had 3 brothers and 2 brother in laws in world war 2. In remembrance.
Second I wanted the take and image from one of the The Louisville Astronomical Society "(LAS)" Public events. I have been a member of LAS for over 50 years now. The location of this event was E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park where the LAS operates it's Urban Astronomy Center.
Image was not taken in the best of sky. There was a thin overcast of moisture that night but all in all it is a good image. Older technology scope. A 3 exposure, true HDR image. One of Sony's latest high technology cameras.
