OK: This image was seen by my mind's eye some years back. (Mind's Eye; an interesting phrases). Part one of an image. The idea. Visualizing it in the mind. More subconscious then conscious...

Then the turning the idea into reality. Finding the model. Finding the right model. (I will expand on this as I close this text posting)...

The photo shoot itself. The right camera and settings. The right kind and type of lighting. The right background. And the placement of each.

Shoot the damn thing. Put the image in the camera. Check and Recheck to see that has Happened.

Then the Darkroom work. Computers these days. Here is where mistakes can be made because there is the opportunities for redues...

With luck the idea is close to the finished image. With luck the image is magical. An image Without Magic in not Art...

Now back to the right model, which is really what my Philosophizing here is about. (And over the years I have had many right models). Trust is the most important ingredient to the chemistry of the right model. Trust by the model...

To ask the model to do an idea that first sound wrong. That sounds as if it is pornography. The adjusting of the wardrobe as needed to achieve just the right placement. This requires some touching some times. Some times this an being a little personal...

Photographers need to feel blessed to find just a model. The above only comes after many dances with a model. Many conversation about ideas. Much time in the studio. And being on the same page of understanding of the magic that is being tried...

And it is about the Magic.
